CRISIS: SHORTAGE OF BROWN AND BLACK DOCTORS 

Historically, black and brown doctors have lacked representation in the medical field. Research has shown minority doctors are more likely to serve undeserved communities and have cultural competence that improves compliance amongst minorities. Thus,  our lack of presence in the medical has resulted in minorities having higher incidence of poor health outcomes and lack of access to medical care.
